Auction of Promises

Saturday 16 March 2019 7pm

Ringwood Parish Church

The Parish Church of St Peter & St Paul in the Market Place in Ringwood is holding an Auction of Promises on Saturday 16th March 2019 at 7pm to raise funds for urgent repair work on Ringwood’s iconic Parish Church.

Maintenance has been ongoing for four years now and parishioners, friends and local businesses have offered their services to finally rid the landmark of its scaffolding.

The auction has a unique twist – instead of what you might expect at an auction, people have offered their help, hospitality and expertise. Whether you’re looking to learn a new skill, need some help around the house or someone to ferry you to the airport; there’s something for everyone. Our star lot is dinner at the privately-owned Bisterne Manor, at which the winner can entertain up to 16 guests in the manor’s 16th century oak-panelled Henry VIII room.

All funds raised will go towards urgent work on the marketplace church, including specialist repairs to glass windows and water-damaged stonework. These extensive and complex repairs will cost the church over £40,000, but are essential to make sure that our Parish Church remains in a good state of repair.

The auction will take place at the Parish Church in Ringwood Marketplace on Saturday 16 March at 7pm. Entry is free and so is the first drink.

The auction brochure can be viewed online from Friday 8th March. They are available to collect from Ringwood Parish Church or contact Samantha Swyer on 01425 489898 / for a copy.

If you would like to help please get in touch with the Benefice Office - It is not too late to make us an offer of your services, a discount or voucher for a local business or to donate any interesting items.

Most importantly however we would love everyone to come on the night. Remember, entry is free as is the first drink. See you there!
