Below is a letter from the Churchwarden of All Saints Church, St Leonards and St Ives:

All Saints Church, St Leonards and St Ives hosted a fund raising Bridge Day on Saturday 12th October, when 32 players joined us for a day of cards - beginning with coffee and biscuits, followed by a three course lunch, and ending in the afternoon by tea and biscuits. It was a very friendly and sociable occasion for us all, and at the same time raised much needed funds for our church-some £465.00.

I thank those who came to play cards on the day, and at the same time express my heartfelt thanks to Gill, who masterminded the arrangements for the day, to Alison and Sue, to Pat, and to Hilary for their contributions, and to Elizabeth for organising the raffle, which raided £90.00. To Stephen, who set up the heating, and to Jessica, who made sure that our Centre was as clean as a new pin!

The life of our church is made up of the sum of many parts, all of whom make a valuable and much needed contribution on a regular basis. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all that you continue to give to SLSI, long may it continue.

With my love to you all,

Frankie Hester, Churchwarden.
